Copenhagen University leads as the best Scandinavian University, Goteborg University misses out

U.S. and British elite universities are on top of the world as the best places for higher education according to the QS World Universities 2013/14 rankings, published on Tuesday. In that study, the Danish University of Copenhagen has emerged on top as the leading Nordic university while other such as the University of Goteborg has disappeared from the top 200 best school in the world.

University of Copenhagen is classed number 45 on the list, while the other best-ranked universities in Sweden, Finland and Norway are found around 67, 69 and 89 respectively. These are the universities of Lund, Helsinki and Oslo.

All universities in the top 10 are either in the U.S. or in the UK. American Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard and Cambridge in the UK holds gold, silver, and bronze position respectively.
