Wednesday, 03 July 2013
Brown fat otherwise called calorie-incinerator, which has been
described as being causing ones body to burn other fat when one
get cold has been found to be still dangerous- causing cardiovascular
disease.
Given that, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in
Sweden, and that there are more deaths in winter than in summer,
research now points to a possible explanation: the brown fat that we
all carry.
Brown fat has hitherto been regarded as healthier than white fat. However, a new study shows that it can speed up cold inside the body when it's cold outside.
Past studies published in the The Journal of Clinical Investigation
confirms that brown fat does burn calories. The Swedish research seems
to open up the room for this view to be re-examined.
