Volvo recalls 115 000 cars in Sweden

Monday, 26 March 2012
Volvocars Corps., recalls 115 000 cars of this year's model, 15,000 of them in Sweden, Volvo Cars says it has to do with defect that could affect the airbags feature.

“It is about a cable that is loose under the front seats. If you often push the seat back and forth, the cable could be hooked and pulled out. And then cover the airbags out of order,” says Per-Ake Froberg, spokesman for Volvo to Swedish television.

Car models affected are 2012 model year of models S60, S80, XC60, XC70, V60 and V70.
In most cases, many buyers will not find the error. But in cases where it is found, that the cable is loose, it takes a good hour in the shop to fix the error, according to Per-Ake Froberg.

The company add that it is always sad to recall cars, but it is important to be on the safe side and withdraw cars as soon as there is even the slightest suspicion of error, the opposite would be to expose our clients to risk, and it would be unacceptable.
