Volvo Car corp., denies "rumour" that it was planning to build a factory in Brazil

Reports that Volvo Cars corp., was planning to build a factory in Brazil has been rejected and qualified as unfounded rumour.

The company's press officer, Per-Ake Froberg said on Friday that "There is no such decision, and nothing is imminent."

he added that in the case of start-ups, "we have full focus on China, which does not exclude studies of other markets," but looking at comments he might have made, he said nothing about Brazil reports the Swedish business daily Dagens Industri.
In China, the ongoing construction of a factory in Chengdu, as well as another plant and an engine factory is underway as previously said.
