Telenor takes billion write down of its value in India

Norwegian telecoms operator Telenor writes down the value of its
operations in India to zero. This means an impairment of Nkr3.9 billion
made in the accounts of the first quarter.
The
proposed telecommunications licenses in India make it almost impossible
for Telenor to participate, according to the company. The write-down is
done as a precaution.
