Swedish telecom company, Tele 2 notifies its own customer service to the police
Monday, 27 February 2012
A strong scandal has broken up in the Swedish telecom company, Tele 2 and this has brought in the police.
The company, Tele 2 has called in the police to help resolved what is
being described as a wave to fraud in its customer service sector in
which workers are suspected to have carried out a number of fraud on
its customer service in Borås.
Five employees have been relieved off their duties after suspicions of
cheating with mobile subscriptions as cheap smartphones and long term
contracts has made it a popular combination to attract fraudster in the
mobile phone market.
It is now considered that this might have been a breeding ground for
fraud in Tele 2 as more people are reported to have gained valuable
mobile phones for a cheap price, for the promise to staying with Tele 2
for a long time.
Inside though, there was a network which helped to extinguish the
subscription but which subscribers later paid to money into private
pocket of workers. On payment to individual employees of Tele 2’s
customer service in Boras, operated by the company Transcom, the mobile
users have got off the long adjustment periods.
On Monday tele2 decided to take the matter to the police according to reports.
Probably it will take a few days before the actual notification is sent
because the company wants to provide additional information. It could
not be particularly clear how much Tele 2 may have lost in monetary
terms.
