Swedish newspapers corporations making massive looses

The big Swedish corporations, those that own Swedish newspapers are
making money but not as it supposed to have been. Corporations in the
newspapers business in Sweden are making losses.

The decline in the profits of Swedish daily press is said to be the
continuation from the low levels that began in 2011, stretching to
2012. The decrease was primarily due to decreased revenues. For the
industry as a whole, revenues dropped by about 5 percent, or a billion
Skr, writes Press Subsidies Council in its annual review of newspaper
companies' annual reports.
A sharp decline in advertising sales hit hard the several paper owner companies.
For regional newspapers operating in a stressed economic environment,
the troubles is even more painful. Regional papers, as a group had an
overall operating loss of some Skr39 million.
