Swedish industrial production will take a halt during Christmas as gloominess persist in the markets

Thursday, 22 November 2012
Swedish industrial operations is in a place they'll rather not like to be at this moment and as the Christmas holidays approaches, many production places will close down early.

So there will be very little Christmas celebrations in this sector and the hope is that after that, some difference would emerge that will move things to the positive direction.
Many large Swedish industries will close completely over the Christmas and New Year period due to reduced demand, according to the Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri which carried out its own snap poll recently and came to the conclusion that the major engineering companies are those to be affected most.

Swedish industrial workers can look forward to a long holidays over Christmas and New Year.  Scania, Volvo and SKF factories will be deserted as increased inventories and over capacity as well as their own internal economies means that  sustainable businesses opportunity could be achieved if  these vices are reduced.

SKF will be closed for two whole weeks. Scania plans shutdown days between Christmas and the New Year and to loose 400 temporary employees. Rival Volvo is planning yet more production-free days and to add cut down evening shift at the truck plant in Tuve, Gothenburg for good.
