Swedish companies in collusion course with the Norwegian ski team
Thursday, 21 June 2012
The small Swedish company, Vendolocus Development based in Bromma has
gone to war against the Norwegian Ski Federation and the Norwegian
Olympic Committee. This seems to have been driven by rights law
vaiolation.
Swedish business daily, Dagens Industry, reports on Thursday that the
inventor Peter Stenlund has developed a measuring machine that helps
the skier to choose the right skis. The company has cooperated with the
Norwegian ski team since 2009 but in March this year the Norwegians
have decided not to continue with the contract.
According to Peter Stenlund, the Norwegian national team leadership has
helped a Norwegian company, IDT, to steal its technology. He also
claims that IDT copied two other Swedish products using the Norwegian
Olympic Committee, reports the paper.
The inventor is reported to be suing the Norwegians – both the sport committees and the company IDT.
The Norwegians would not want to respond to the allegations but said
that the Skii and the Olympic teams have no commercial interest in the
technique.
