Sony Mobile announces layoffs in Lund, Sweden

Mobile manufacturer Sony Mobile is laying off 150 employees in Lund, Sweden according to news reports in Sweden.

The nearly 3,000 employees at Sony Mobile in Lund is currently gathered for a briefing Swedish daily, Sydsvenskan writes.

Sources say that management will present a notice where 150 positions will be eliminated.
Since Sony divorced from Ericsson, speculations have been going on that it might cut down its research centre based in Lund. It looks lie that speculation has no come to fruition.
