Some 13000 Finn flee from Nokia portfolio
Thursday, 10 October 2013
Over 13,000 Finns have gotten rid of their Nokia shares after Microsoft usurped the company.
Finnish Business paper Kauppalehti writes and add that about 5 percent
of the 230,000 Finns who own Nokia shares have sold them outright as it
now turns that Nokia is no longer a Finnish national champion.
On 3 September, Nokia announced that the mobile phone business was sold to software giant Microsoft.
“Nokia shares rose after the announcement of the deal, and people
should have bought instead of selling, said Hartikainen Nuutti, an
online broker who talked on the Finnish reaction adding its "emotional."
