Nokia sues many of its competitors

Nokia has filed lawsuits for patent infringement against HTC, RIM and ViewSonic in the courts in the U.S. and Germany.

According to a press release, some total of 45 patents where to be challenged in court.
Nokia believes that in the products of the competitors are using a number of Nokia's patented technologies without permission to do so.

"We want other companies to respect our property and compete with us using their own innovations," wrote Nokia's General Counsel, Louise Pentland in a statement.
