Increased sales reported in IKEA

Last year Swedish furniture giant, Ikea reported a new sales record.
Total sales was reported to reach Skr250 billion through the company's
340 stores.
This represents an increase of 11 percent, according to Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri.
The Holding company, Inter Ikea helped contribute to the record sales
to almost Skr23 billion. The was an increased by Skr 3.8 billion which
is also an increase. But CEO Søren Hansen is not satisfied.
"We are pleased with the outcome. But we can not take anything for
granted, and the list of things we need to improve is very long, "he
said to Dagens Industri.
He also, feel that the company's bad times in Southern Europe where sales are now slowing is a problems of concern.
"Meanwhile, we can see that things are going well in North America and
Canada, while growth is really strong in Russia, China and the Middle
East, "he continued according to the paper.
