Growing number of fraud in Sweden as it doubled in ten years

Sweden
is seeing a growing number of fraud in its society as last year, police
in received cases relating to fraud up to 115 000 complaints, a
doubling in ten years.
Most at risk are people with foreign
backgrounds, lone parents or people who are weakly educated, writes
Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet and broad quoted by other dailies.
The
National Council for crime prevention, Brå, has found that three
percent of the adult population, around 216 000 people have been duped.
It range from fake bills where people are sent bills that look genuine
for goods that they did not order or buy. Some people just make an
enquiry on a product and they are sent a bill claiming that they
ordered the product. If they don't pay, they are threatened with
various fines and prosecution. All that looks truthful until if looked
a bit deeper to find out that there are gangs of criminal behind such
fake bills
The Internet is also a major are where these victims are captured by the criminals. The value is usually Skr2000 - Skr10000.
However, four percent of cases have been reported have been squeezed out of over Skr100 000.
Travellers
of new visitors or residence should take this situation seriously and
contact the police if the suspect that they are dong ripped apart. They
are also urged to note that Sweden has changed and there are lots to
criminals in the spaced where decent people live.
