Fortum puts its Swedish hydropower for sale

The Finnish energy giant Fortum is planning to sell half of its hydropower plants in Sweden.
According to media reports, the company which is one of the largest electric suppliers in the Swedish the market owns some 200 hydroelectric power plants. Up to 100 of the plants will b put on sales list the reports said.

The sales is said to expect to raise billions for Fortum, which also sell only a small part of its Swedish electricity production.

Stakeholders include Wallenberg The private equity firm EQT, which have previously purchased Fortum energy business in Finland and Estonia.
