Finnish utility company Fortum sells hydropower
Wednesday, 31 October 2012Finnish utility company, Fortum Oyj said on Wednesday it will sell small-scale hydropower assets in Sweden for an undisclosed figure.
Fortum sells fifteen small-scale hydropower plants in Småland and Dalälven, according to a press release. Nine plants in Småland is sold to Skånska Energi AB and six plants in Dalälven will be sold to Älvdalens and Sarna-Idre Besparingsskogar. The sale price is not disclosed.
The fifteen hydroelectric plants have a total output of 13 megawatts. Fortum has earlier this year sold small hydropower plants in Finland.
