Ericsson in new corruption suspicion - bribe Rumanian Minister
Tuesday, 21 May 2013Swedish Telecom company, Ericsson is suspected of have bribed a Romanian cabinet ministers some 10 years ago.
This is in connection with the company's awarded of a multi-million dollar contract some ten years ago for the establishment of the country's national emergency number 112, according to Swedish business daily Dagens Industri.
Ericsson's actions was scrutinized by the Swedish FSA, or the finansinspektionen SEC. FSA is also investigating the company's accounts in Switzerland created to pay foreign agents which was determined to be the tools used by former directors for corruption. Also it was used to divert millions of dollars to unknown recipients.
