Danke bank lift after a big loan – share leaped

Danish Banking giant Danske Bank has borrowed Dkr15 billion by the Danish central bank. Shares shot up immediately on the news.

Danske Bank has chosen to participate in the Danish Central Bank's three-year loan facility. The bank raises a loan of Dkr15 billion, leaving assets in bond portfolio as collateral.

Shortly after the stock market opening, Danske Bank's shares which had been struggling in the past weeks, shot up more than 3 percent, while the Copenhagen Stock Exchange's OMXC20 shows a rise of just under 1 percent.
