British trouble company, Games Chain, with operation in Scandinavia goes into administration

Britain's biggest video game retailer, Game Group, which also has operations in Sweden, has gone into administration.

It means there are serious doubts about the jobs of the 10,000 staff at its 1,300 stores in nine European countries and in Australia. It has 67 stores in Sweden, Norway and Denmark

The administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers said that the retailer had suffered from high fixed costs and an ambitious international expansion.
