Bankruptcies in Sweden look to increase
Wednesday, 05 September 2012The number of corporate bankruptcies in Sweden rose 19 percent in August, compared with the same period last year. During the month there were 454 companies in bankruptcy.
The construction companies and the sector is affected most, according to data from credit reporting organisation, UC. Companies that started when the tax relief was introduced have experienced tough competition, as economic activity weakened.
Stockholm which has previously done well, is now severely affected by construction failures.
Even in the transportation industry there is also increasing bankruptcies.
